The Hawks started off as a middling team with playoff hopes as star Quarterback Russell Wilson had them sitting at a 2-2 record entering Week 5. Against the Los Angeles Rams, he went down with a thumb injury, essentially tanking the team’s postseason aspirations. Since then, the team has lost five of their last six, including in LA.
Russ returned two weeks ago against the Green Bay Packers, but with all of his rhythm gone, his body out of game shape, and Seattle’s roster chockfull of holes, the Seahawks usual savior hasn’t been enough. Since Wilson came back, Seattle has dropped both of their games, averaging a measly 6.5 points in the process.
The Washington Football Team has lost four of their last six, but are on the upturn, winning their last two contests against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers. The defense has started clicking and perhaps an outside shot at landing an NFC Wild Card spot can prove that this team’s best football is in front of them.
Despite how the teams have been trending, FanDuel only has the WFT as a one-point favorite at home. The over/under is set at 46.5 with two incomplete offenses facing two disappointing defenses.
Expect a crazy result. What else would we get from "national TV" Russell Wilson against an equally weird WFT?
Monday on our minds.
