Statistically, both teams matched closely on the offensive front, but Nebraska showcased a superior defensive prowess, holding their foes to just 4.6 yards per play.
Given the Cornhuskers’ recent form and the Illini’s struggles, including a narrow victory over Florida Atlantic and close losses, the matchup promised tight competition but Nebraska end up blow in the to continue on their momentum.
