Here are a few things to watch for in Week 1.

There are alot of home underdogs:
As an 8-point underdog, the Houston Texans are the biggest Week 1 home underdog as they host the Indianapolis Colts.

The Bears are also a 7-point home dog against the 49ers, and the Jets are a 7-point home dog against the Ravens. Overall the road teams are favored in 10 of the 16 games scheduled for Week 1.

Opportunities for revenge:
Baker Mayfield and the Carolina Panthers hosting the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 is an exciting story. The Browns opened up as a 4.5-point favorite during the offseason, but as of Sunday Sept. 4, the Panthers had jumped to a 2-point favorite.
In the Monday Night game, the Broncos opened up as a 3.5-point favorite against the Seahawks, but that line has since increased to 6.5.

The game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders should also be exciting, as the Raiders kept the Chargers from making the playoffs by beating them in Week 18 last season.
The Chargers are a 3-point favorite after the line moved by a point.

The Bills are favored to win their first Super Bowl ever:
According to Bet MGM, the Buffalo Bills have 6/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
The Buccaneers are second at 7.5/1, followed by the Chiefs at 10/1, the Rams at 11/1, and the Packers at 12/1.
At the bottom, the Houston Texans are the biggest longshot at 300/1, followed by the Atlanta Falcons at 250/1.

Expect the unexpected:

Last season the Los Angeles Rams were seventh with 15/1 odds to win the Super Bowl following the 2021 preseason.
The eventual AFC Championship Cincinnati Bengals were not even on the radar last season, as they began with 65/1 odds to reach the Super Bowl.
As we get ready for the Week 1 action, what are you most excited about, and who do you think will take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy when it’s all said and done?
