Can RGIII Return to the NFL and Will Any Team Sign Him? | News Article by handicapper911.com

As it happens with a lot of talented athletes, a series of bad luck and injuries knocked Robert Griffin III out of games for quite a long time.

Once a Heisman Trophy winner, Griffin had an amazing start after being drafted second overall by Washington in 2012. But a knee injury at the end of 2012, along with an ankle injury in 2014 and a further more in 2015 led him to cut his promising career short.

Now as he’s with ESPN as an NFL analyst, he’s more than ready to get back in the game again if any team picks him up.

He’s Ready to Return to the NFL

Griffin showed his eagerness to get back in the game as soon as possible in a KWTX interview on Sunday. He’s training every day, he said, and getting his body ready while he’s flying around anchoring on TV.

Be it now, a year later, or five, he wants to step on the field as soon as any team picks him up.

With threats of possible future injuries, Griffin hinted that he could join a team as a mentor for their younger quarterbacks. He also mentioned that he will not mind coming to off-season minicamps or training camps if any team signed him up.

When asked about his age, he brought examples of Tom Brady playing till 45 and bagging seven Super Bowl rings. So, even at 32, he’s more than eager to make a comeback to the NFL.

There’re Many Potential Teams That Can Sign Him Up

When Griffin was asked about his possible choice of teams that he wants to play with, he listed the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, and the Dallas Cowboys. He believes these teams can benefit from him given his current form and skill.

Though his comment made a lot of Washington fans upset, he assured them that, if the coach wants him back to his former team, he would be happy to return.

With Mariota and Ridder on the team, Griffin believes he can contribute some great to the Falcons. And as for Chicago, he believes he can be of great help to the quarterback by providing a helping hand to Justin Fields.

A lot of his former Washington fans don’t want him to join the Cowboys, but Griffin wants to go back home to Texas to play for the team.
