NCAA Football College Top 10 Potential Teams | News Article by handicapper911.com

The 2022-2023 College football season is a few months away. The dust has mostly settled from the transfer portal and we have a good idea of what the rosters for these elite teams will look like in the upcoming year.

We have been desperate for parity in College Football, and the thoughts of NIL and the new transfer portal rules gave us hope, but here we are staring at the big boys yet again… Let’s get into the top 10.

1-The Alabama Crimson Tide-Saban and his merry bunch of cast-off head coaches roll into the season with top of the nation’s best players on each side of the ball.

Defending Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young looks to lead a strong offensive attack while Will Anderson is far and away from the nation’s best player.

2-THE Ohio State Buckeyes-Coming off an offensive explosion in the Rose Bowl, Ohio State returns an impressive offensive team led by CJ Stroud and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. If the defense tightens up they could be poised for the CFP.

3-Georgia-The Bulldogs return Stetson Bennett as their signal-caller but have lost a ton of NFL talent on both sides of the ball. The recruiting has been there, with 5 Stars all over the field. Let’s see if they can sustain the excellence.

4-Clemson Tigers-This is a rebound pick for me. I believe that DJ Uiagalelei will make significant strides and return to the form that he had against Notre Dame in 2020. The Tigers are loaded with elite recruits who could be primed for another run.

5-Texas AM- The Aggies have changed the cost of doing business this season and have an all-time recruiting class. If they can get solid QB play this year they have the horses to win a title.

6-Utah-Coming off an incredible Rose Bowl the Utes have some strong offensive weapons in Travion Thomas and Cam Rising should lead them to another huge year.

7-Notre Dame-The Irish have an incredibly hard schedule and the QB play is a question, but the other 21 spots are filled with good players. Marcus Freeman the guy??

8-Oklahoma State-The Pokes could have made the CFP last season but were one yard away after losing to Baylor in the Big 12 title. Spencer Sanders has been the guy for a while will he explode?

9-Baylor Bears-I believe in Dave Aranda. His teams are tough and don’t make mistakes. They should be right there in the Big 12 once again.

10-USC-Lincoln Riley and the men of Troy have been busy in Free-Agency. Picking up the best WR and QB on the market. Did the previous regime leave enough big guys to win on the biggest stage?
